Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how HARPER BUSINESS CONSULTANCY LTD ("Harper", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar storage technologies on harperbusinessconsultancy.com. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. They allow websites to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are signed in, which preferences you have set, and how you arrived at the site.
How We Use Cookies
We group cookies and similar storage into three categories.
Strictly necessary
These are required for the Service to work. Without them, sign-in, account security, and basic navigation would be broken. We use:
- a session cookie that keeps you signed in while you use Harper;
- a CSRF token cookie that protects you against cross-site request forgery during sign-in and during sensitive actions;
- an authentication cookie issued by our auth provider, which validates your session;
- a cookie that records your cookie-consent choice so we do not ask you again every visit;
- a cookie used by Stripe during checkout to prevent fraud and to validate your payment session.
You cannot disable strictly necessary cookies through our consent banner because the Service cannot function without them, but you can block them in your browser. Doing so will prevent you from signing in and from completing payment.
Analytics
We use first-party analytics provided by Vercel Analytics to count page views and understand which features are used. Vercel Analytics does not use cross-site identifiers. Where required by law (UK and EEA, for example), we ask for your consent before loading these analytics.
Marketing
Harper does not currently set marketing cookies. We do not run cross-site advertising. We do not share your information with advertising networks for the purpose of profiling or behavioral advertising.
Third-Party Cookies
Stripe sets cookies during checkout to prevent fraud, validate the payment session, and remember your country and currency. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's own privacy and cookie notices. We do not control them.
Managing Your Choices
You can change your cookie choices at any time:
- through the cookie consent banner that appears on your first visit and on any visit where the policy has changed;
- through the link in our footer, which reopens the consent panel;
- through your browser settings, which let you block or delete cookies entirely. Browser-level controls apply across all websites you visit.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a signal to opt out of any analytics or marketing cookies that would otherwise require consent, and we will not "sell" or "share" personal information within the meaning of CCPA.
Cookie Retention
Strictly necessary session cookies expire when you close your browser or sign out. Authentication cookies typically last 30 days unless you sign out earlier. Consent cookies last 12 months. Analytics cookies last up to 13 months.
Do Not Sell or Share
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you are a California resident and you would like to confirm this in writing, email support@harperbusinessconsultancy.com.
Changes
If we add a new cookie category or a new third-party that sets cookies through our site, we will update this Cookie Policy and re-prompt you for consent where the law requires it.
